The day has arrived! The last dash for tickets to the upcoming Phish Summer Tour begins today. Already, hearts all over the country have soared or have been broken by the Phish lottery system. I am blessed enough to be a ticket holder for the upcoming Hampton reunion shows, the much sought after Asheville show, and the following night in Knoxville.
These folks aren’t so lucky.

This line began at about noon on Wednesday afternoon, 46 hours before the tickets actually go on sale this morning at 10.

UPDATE So apparently there was a man who came out at 9:30 and told everyone that there were 400 tickets guaranteed to the people in line, the first 100 people there. That would include everyone who got there yesterday evening or so. Then after 16 people got tickets, they were suddenly sold out, nothing anyone could do. The venue had reserved these tickets with the promoter, who made the decision on how many based on how many people were lined up. This seriously sucks for all those who stood in that line, had that hope dangled in front of you, then the door slammed in your face. My heart goes out to you and I hope the Civic Center figures out a way to repay you somehow! Good luck everyone finding that elusive ticket stub!
Check out the Mountain Xpress story on the situation. Officially a “computer error.” Yikes!
I got no ticket love here either.
I had at least 4 people request for me in Lottery and Live Nation’s website sucked today.
