On the eve of Change

New ideas.
New ways.
New ideals.

My personal search for a new way to fill my days seems a holographic microcosm of the macrocosm of the world around me. Old institutions fade away.. Old ways and assumptions reexamined.. New patterns forged as molds are broken.

End of the world as we know it? What does that mean anyway? The world as we know it ends each day and is recreated with each sunrise. The world as we know it today is nothing like it was a hundred years ago and it will certainly be much different in another hundred.

I’ve got this theory that all of (or some of?) the seers in the past who have predicted cataclysmic world ending events were just a little confused. They actually did see into the future.. they did see world ending events, but what they didn’t realize is that they just saw their cataclysmic end. They saw their role come to an end. Their delusions of grandeur just led them to believe that they were actually seeing an end for all of us. But the world just keeps spinning…And the spinning keeps us rowing through space, through time, drifting a little closer to the city in our minds. Creating a dream of love as we float gently, gently down the stream.

My personal quest right now is to realign my days and my nights into places I feel comfortable. To manifest a space where my energies are not being burned and wasted away on frivolous unappreciated waste. A place where I can create functional beauty, gazing forward with beauty clouding my eyes and hope lighting my mind.

And isn’t this what is happening all around us? Clinging to old models right now will only get you gnashing of teeth in the outer darkness. The only path ahead is the path of change. The path of hope. The path away from fears. We have to look to each other for a way out of this maze we have co-created. The faces you see around you hold the answers. Talk to them. Smile at them. Laugh with them. Love them.

Stride forward confidently into the Everlasting Now.
